Boards by Jersey was brough to life in 2021 by Julie Eckert after retiring from a 30+ year career. Julie has a passion for woodworking, an eye for creative elements, and a sense of perfectionism that leaves her unique mark for high-quality work in each and every piece she creates.
I've always had an interest in woodworking+ crafting. For years, I have made pieces as small as picture frames all the way up to small furniture pieces, constantly refining my skills and techniques.
After patiently experimenting and perfecting my process, I've finally developed the ideal method for crafting products that I'm truly proud to offer—ones built to last and bring joy for years to come!
Quality is everything to me. I create durable, beautiful pieces designed for everyday use, so my customers can cherish them in their homes for many years to come.
Right now, I'm a passionate one-woman operation. I handle every step myself—from selecting and shaping the wood, to finishing, quality checking, packaging, marketing, and even managing the books. Wearing all these hats makes my business deeply personal and rewarding.

When my parents passed away we purchased trees in their honor, so I found it fitting to donate a tree for every cutting board sold through One Tree Planted. Not only does this have a positive impact on the environment with reforestation but also a great way to keep honoring my parents.
